Fnatic beat Evox (a good Indian COD4 clan) but lost to Evox in TDM. COD4 Promod has a good following in the sub-continent but it's not as huge as CS. There are close to 50 people who regularly play counter strike source on Bombay/Delhi servers and there are countless people who play 1.6 on LAN and online. We have DOTA fanatics too. I was one of the admins at the GEL Counter Strike: Source 2v2 tournament sponsored by Cooler Master. It was an instant hit and we're going to make it a monthly affair.

@prCyn: The problems the indian gamers face:

1. Shit Internet
2. Bad tourney organization
3. Lack of awareness about tournaments (coz they're never advertised properly)
4. Gaming Cafes not taking initiatives and understanding their role to encourage the pro scene

We are a country of more than a billion people and we don't have one face in the e-sports industry. Ever wondered why?

Yep, we decided that 5v5 was pretty hard to manage since we had very less time to organize things. Our forum admin was getting married you see :)

2v2 with max rounds of 9 and max rounds of 3 in overtime. Starting money $1500 to atleast get an SMG or a deagle with some nades. Eliminations were best of 1 while the final was a best of 5. Dust 2, Train, Inferno and Nuke were used with both the teams' consent. We avoided using aim maps as that gave clear advantage to some good aim whores.

We did not have amateur and a separate pro league. We saw some upsets which was fun.
