GAMING420.COM VERSION 2 PROGRESS
Posted by: spammah - Dec 07 2009 04:35 AM - No Replies

Here's a quick post to keep you guys updated on what to expect in the coming weeks.

We are working diligently on the much needed tags system. The purpose of having a tag system is to add relevant ids or tags for each and every competitive gaming event or news that will be submitted in the system. For example, if China were to hold a gaming event in Beijing for various games such as Counter-Strike 1.6, QuakeLive, Street Fighter 4 etc. then the relevant tags for this article would be something along the lines of: china, beijing, cs1.6, quakelive, sf4

This will help interested users who would want to search the website for events happening according to games or location (country) and the search system would bring up all the relevant threads for that search criteria. Obviously, this system is quite limited in itself since we ARE using existing CMS systems for the current website, however, we hope to eliminate and expand our concepts for V2.

INTERVIEW WITH 3 OF THE BEST MEDICS IN KOREA
Posted by: spammah - Dec 01 2009 12:31 AM - No Replies

Today I bring you a roundtable interview of three high-profile medics, kr [W40k]Life, kr ExPo, kr Geeun :3 =LMC=, from kr Korea courtesy of ae havoK.

» Click here to read the interviews

Question - To start could you give an introduction, who are you, who do you play for and your class etc...

[W40k]Life: hi I'm [W40k]Life, meidc player of violence Karma.(KOR)

EXPo: im expo, play medic of Electronic Monkeyz (kr)

Geeun :3 =LMC=: I'm Geeun, and I'm medic too :3

Question - What is your history in video games, and how do you think your past complements your current TF2 performance?

[W40k]Life: i'm play DOW series for 2 years , and TF2 for 8 monthes.

EXPo: hmm, first is cs1.6, and tf2 for more than 1 year

Geeun :3 =LMC=: I've played Quake 3 and Quake live. nowadays, playing TF2 :)

Question - What is your attitude towards training, do you really apply yourself to improve or do you just relax and play?

[W40k]Life: very simple, i playing medics in PUG, PCW all days, and usually watching ETF2L demos

EXPo: pug or pcw everyday, watching demos

Geeun :3 =LMC=: well.. I hope to be better than now, but because of I'm university studnet, there's no enough time I have D:

Question - Do you think you are at your peak in terms of performance at the moment, or do you think you have more to show?

[W40k]Life: i always think that i''m still a noob, so i need more practice :D I wanna be like kyynel someday , medic of power gaming :D

EXPo: maybe im peak now. Always wanted to be like pure from Loaded

Geeun :3 =LMC=: I think I can be high level than me(now), so I'm now at peek :D now. but..well..

Question - Something people might be interested in, what peripherals are you using, and more specifically what mouse and sensitivity are you using?

[W40k]Life: i'm using LG headset / Microsoft mouse, sensitivity is 5~7

EXPo: sensitivity is 4.5. I'm using bundle mouse & headset (actually i don't care)

Geeun :3 =LMC=: I'm using Headset Steelseries Siberia with USB Soundcard, and mouse as Logitech G1. I always change my sensitivity, well.. 4~5 maybe :)

Question - A lot of lower skilled players and teams experience rage and frustration when developing, is this still a part of Korean high level play? And if so how do you and your teammates deal with it?

[W40k]Life: i experience that a lot when developing :P, but i don't care it becuz that's really good phase. everyone need it

EXPo: i think good skilled players don't feel the rage. Just play together with friendly atmosphere.

Geeun :3 =LMC=:high level players don't care about that

Question - There are a few upcoming online tournaments for you like the FJtf2 and asiafortress, and how are you personally and as a team preparing for these events?

[W40k]Life: I download all demos of ETF2L,ESEA, CEVO and I watch them to introduce new good quality tactics to my team, and try to practice together like the pro's do it.

EXPo: Find and watch demo, know position, everyday practice with teams that have joined the tournaments you mentioned.

Geeun :3 =LMC=: I'm in team Revenger, but it formed recently, so we just practicing, not participating in any of the ones mentioned. Besides, I already stated I don't have much time on my hand.

Question - How do you compare TF2 to other competitive games out there?

[W40k]Life: TF2 is really nice game. so funny, and players who can't feel this game are bloody scared. i think developers really care about the players :) except the damn updates, alot of my frags were crashed. Tf2 is a fantastic game, play together with teamwork, get victory together, that's it. I haven't seen a game like TF2.

EXPo: I think TF2 is the best game compared to any other game.

Geeun :3 =LMC=: TF2 is the best class-based game what I've played.

Question - Anything you want to add, any shout-outs etc?

[W40k]Life: catface is awesome! :3. Don't see lowest, See the highest place you want! don't stop ur running! u can be the highest!

EXPo: i want to dominate nata with an ubersaw lol!

Geeun :3 =LMC=: even though I'm female, I want to be better than other males :D haha

Hope you guys keep rocking!
